Lahdim Square is a large public square of the historic city of Meknes, with a rectangular plan that is two hundred meters long and ninety meters wide, and bounded on the medina side and market side of two Ismaili walls. The purpose of its construction was to create a space of separation separating the ancient fabric, that is to say the old medina, and the imperial city, and the fortified Qasba.
